Although not an Australian bird, the Macaw could easily slip into our bright Australian bush. I was called to it by its spectacular colouring, allowing me to depict it as brightly and as clearly as our own Australian wildlife. This painting was completed withy many layers of gesso, texture paste, bright acrylic paints and inks.
