Cheeky Charlie represents the many cheeky Australian Lorikeets that visit my back garden. Although this is a single representation of this bird, they mainly come in pairs, swooping in with amusing and showy speed. They are very noisy and I have tried to emulate this with a very busy background, created with texture and a mixture of colour. This painting was completed with many layers of gesso, texture paste, bright acrylic paints and inks.
